Designed for high versatility, the FLEX24-10G 24-Port 10G PoE++ Compliant Managed Switch from NVT Phybridge enhances your business by allowing you to operate powered devices such as IP cameras and access points from long distances. Each of the 24 RJ45 ports provide up to 50W of power and Gigabit speeds at up to 328 feet when using a 4-pair Cat 5e cable or better. Adding separately purchased PoE extenders increases the range to about 2000 feet, transferring up to 30W of power with 10/100 Mb/s data speeds.

This rack mountable managed switch also includes two SFP+ ports that support 10G fiber uplinks with compatible devices. With an intuitive web-based management interface and comprehensive Layer 2 and Layer 3 features, the FLEX24-10G delivers reliable, secure, and flexible control over your deployments.

Layer 3 Switch
The FLEX24-10G replaces the need for separate devices by containing both layer 3 routing and layer 2 switching technologies.
802.1x Port-Based Authentication
802.1x Port-Based Authentication provides an additional level of security for clients trying to gain access to the network by only granting network access to select machines that are checked against the RADIUS server.
ACLs (Access Control Lists)
Access control lists are used to permit or deny network traffic based on administrator-configured rules. ACLs inspect network traffic based on content in the layer 2, layer 3, or layer 4 packet header. If a preconfigured condition is met, the traffic can be permitted, denied, redirected, or filtered to another interface.
Command Line Interface
The FLEX24-10G switch features a command line interface (CLI) that features several levels with varying command scopes. Those familiar with the Cisco CLI should feel very comfortable transitioning, with all the expected features present, including tab completion, configurable user privilege levels, and a context-sensitive help system.
Multi-Switch Management Software (CCMT)
The CCMT tool allows multiple NVT Phybridge managed switches to be managed from a central application. The CCMT tool works on a client-server model, where switches are imported to the server and can then be managed from any client. Routine tasks, such as IP configuration, configuration file importing and exporting, and several more can be performed. Firmware upgrades can be performed in bulk, greatly reducing the administrative workload when several switches need to be upgraded. If multiple switches share a common configuration, the CCMT config templates can be utilized to apply a common config to several devices.
Protocol-Based VLANs
Protocol-based VLANs allow network traffic to be assigned a VLAN ID based on the contents of the layer 4 header. This allows administrators to separate different traffic types. For example, SSH traffic on an interface configured with a protocol-based VLAN can be assigned the management VLAN s VLAN ID. Likewise, HTTP/HTTPS traffic can be assigned the data VLAN s VLAN ID. Protocol-based VLANs allow network segmentation to be performed at the endpoint, increasing network security.
LLDP-MED
LLDP-MED is an extension of LLDP and operates between endpoints and the FLEX24-10G switch. LLDP-MED determines the capabilities of LLDP-MED compatible endpoints, most commonly IP phones, and applies a policy to the endpoint based on the endpoint s requirements. LLDP-MED policies can apply attributes such as VLAN ID, QoS markings, DSCP values, and more to compatible endpoints. The use of LLDP-MED can greatly reduce administrator workload in environments with large amounts of endpoints.
QoS - Traffic Shaping and Queueing
Quality of Service (QoS) allows for priority levels to be assigned to network traffic so high priority traffic can be prioritized by the switch. The FLEX24-10G switch allows for QoS to be configured at both layer 2 and layer 3. QoS is extremely beneficial in environments running both VoIP systems and computer workstations. For example, QoS can be used to give VoIP traffic a higher priority than web traffic to ensure high call quality between parties.
